Football season may be over, but there is still plenty of entertainment to go around (plus we all get a nice reprieve from hearing Joe Buck’s voice). Here’s what you have to look forward to this week.

Album Releases:

Wonderful Crazy Night – Elton John, Release Date: 2/5

The soft rock superstar returns with Wonderful Crazy Night, his first album since 2006. Read our review here.

Cascades – High Highs, Release Date: 2/5

The sophomore album from Australian indie rock band High Highs hopes to build off of the success of their debut album, which had a song featured in the movie Pitch Perfect.

Waves – Kanye West, Release Date: 2/11

This is a Kanye West album. It can’t be explained and doesn’t need to be.

Family Dinner – Volume 2 – Snarky Puppy, Release Date: 2/12

The eclectic collective of musicians that is Snarky Puppy combines genres such as jazz and R&B for a fun and unique sound.


 

Movie Premieres for 2/12:

Deadpool

The Marvel universe continues to expand with this extension of the X-Men franchise. Ryan Reynolds takes on the role of the titular anti-hero in this action-comedy.

How to Be Single

This Romantic comedy, starring Rebel Wilson, Dakota Johnson, and Alison Brie, tells the story of singles finding love in New York City.

Zoolander No. 2

Ben Stiller directs and stars in this sequel to his 2001 over the top comedy. As the assassinations of “beautiful people” begin to occur, Interpol recruits Zoolander (Stiller) and Hansel McDonald (Owen Wilson) to put a stop to the killings.
