Nov. 13 SAC article correction


In the November 13 article “SAC may buck GUSA,” the quote “We cannot tell SAC what to do, we cannot drag Sophia in here and have some McCarthyite grilling,” was incorrectly attributed to Time Swenson (COL `10). In fact, it should have been attributed to Tyler Stone (COL `09).

Misspelled Last Name


The Oct. 23 feature “Controversial Catholics…and the third coming of The Georgetown Academy” incorrectly spelled the last name of the Georgetown Academy’s staff editor. His name, in fact, is Matt Cantirino.

Incorrect title


The Oct. 23 feature, “Controversial Catholics…and the third coming of The Georgetown Academy” incorrectly identified Ms. Sivagami Subbaraman as the coordinator of the LGBTQ Center. She is, in fact, the director of the center.

Misspelled Last Name


In “Come Hear the Music Play” (Feature, April 10, 2008), the actress playing Sally Bowles in Cabaret was incorrectly identified as “Olivia Bennet.” Her name is, in fact, “Olivia Bennett.” We regret the error.

GUSA correction


In “Williams and Kesten for GUSA” (Editorial, Feb. 14), Sean Hayes (MSB ‘10) and Andrew Madorsky (MSB ‘10) clarified that the proposed $5 admission to Midnight Madness would be voluntary and used for philanthropic purposes.

Improper profit; Metro mistake


In “Unpacking your tuition,” (Features, Sept. 13) the Voice reported that the Institute for the International Education of Students and the Council for International Educational Exchange are for-profit companies. Rating retraction


In fact, Georgetown’s Silver rating in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design System scale is one step above the lower “Certified” rating, and it is a rare accomplisment to earn any LEED rating at all, especially for a science building.
