The Saxa Server has developed a new program to track demographics of on-line votes. The program will most likely be used for the first time in this year’s GUSA presidential elections, said Steve Schohn (CAS ‘02), a Saxa Server administrator.

Once students have voted, they will be asked to fill out an anonymous and optional survey. The survey will ask questions concerning place of residence, year and school.

This year marks the first time presidential elections will be conducted online. According to Will Cosmas (CAS ‘01), GUSA election commissioner, he believes the on-line election may help voter turnout.
