After eight years of service, Vice President and Treasurer Nicole Mandeville has left Georgetown, President John DeGioia announced last week. Mandeville’s last day was Dec. 31.
“Nicole has served with distinction since 1993 and has led the University’s Office of Financial Affairs during a period of change and challenges,” DeGioia stated in a letter to high-level administrators announcing Mandeville’s resignation.
Mandeville is credited with aiding in the development of stronger budget procedures, increased endowment performance and a higher rate of faculty participation in budget matters.
She also played a large role in the University’s Y2K preparations and the MedStar-Georgetown negotiations. Mandeville served as director of Community First Bank, which serves people of low-income throughout the D.C. area, during her eight years at the University.
DeGioia is creating an interim structure for the Office of Financial Affairs until the search for a new treasurer is complete.
