An armed assailant robbed two Georgetown students of their purses this week. At approximately 11:45 p.m. Tuesday night, the two students were approached by an armed suspect while they walked down the 3300 block of “O” Street, N.W. The suspect demanded their purses and they turned them over. The suspect then escaped in a dark colored automobile and drove southbound down 34th Street, N.W. The suspect is described as a black male in his late 20’s, approximately 180 lbs., 6 feet tall, wearing a red bandanna around his face. The Metropolitan Police Department was called. They arrived on the sceen to conduct an investigation and take a report on the crime.
