A burglar robbed a Georgetown University student’s Village A apartment, on March 10. The thief entered through an unlocked door in the early evening, while the student was at home. The student reported to the Department of Public Safety that a laptop computer, a DVD player, an XBox controller and a blue backpack were stolen. According to a DPS e-mail, a witness saw the suspect, a 6’ black male wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans carrying the stolen blue backpack. Although nothing has been recovered, the student was uninjured.

On Sunday, March 6, a Georgetown University student was awakened by the entrance of an intruder in her room a little after midnight. The unknown male entered her second floor apartment in the 1400 block of 36th Street, N.W. and fled the apartment upon finding her. The student reported the incident to the Department of Public Safety, who surveyed the scene along with Metropolitan Police Department. Although no suspects have been arrested, no property was missing, and she was not injured. The intruder, described as a black male, medium build, wearing a white T-shirt and darkly colored pants in a DPS e-mail, was last sighted going northbound on 36th Street, then westbound on P Street.
