The favorite in this year’s three-way quarterback derby, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound, sophomore will have a daunting task ahead of him in leading the Hoyas’ new offensive scheme desiged by first-year coordinator Elliot Uzelac. Allan has not played a down at college QB and Georgetown returns no experienced wide receivers. He will have to rely on his mobility and the strength of a battle-tested ground game for the Hoyas to compete in the Patriot League this season.

The Hoyas are the defending champions of the annual D.C. College Cup held at American. This year American, led by senior midfielder Shawn Kuykendall, will provide the biggest threat to a Hoyas’ repeat.

The 6-foot-2 senior was MVP of last year’s Tulane University Tournament and honorable mention All-American. She led the Green Wave to a 25-7 record last season, topping the squad in kills (444), kills per game (3.83), service aces (39), solo blocks (27), block assists (146), total blocks (146) and blocks per game (1.49). Her match-up with Hoyas’ 6-foot-3 star, Preseason All-Big East Sara Albert, may well decide the match.
