New Interim MSB Dean
University President John J. DeGioia named Dr. Reena Aggarwal Interim Dean of the McDonough School of Business, Monday. DeGioia described Aggarwal as “One of the most respected scholars in our community.”
“I know that as Dean, she will provide strong and able leadership for Georgetown and the McDonough School,” DeGioia said.
Aggarwal has taught in the MSB since 1986 and will serve as Dean until a permanent replacement can be found.

Med School Dean Resigns
Executive Vice President for Health Services and Executive Dean of the Medical School Dr. Daniel D. Sedmak resigned last week after one year of service at Georgetown.
In a letter to the Georgetown community, University President John J. DeGioia praised Sedmak, highlighting the doctor’s support for the newly established Integrated Learning Center, which allows hands-on clinical training.
Dr. Sedmak had been splitting his time between his hometown of Columbus, Ohio and Georgetown. He will return to be with his family and further his professional career.
