The McDonough School of Business is one step closer to beginning construction on a new building after the Georgetown Board of Directors approved further funding for the project last Thursday.
The funds approved by the board will go toward finishing the design plan and realigning roads and utilities as a prelude to beginning construction.
The new building is part of Georgetown’s on-going mid-campus construction project, which includes plans for a new athletic facility and science center.
According to University Director of Media Relations Laura Cavender, if the project stays on schedule, construction will begin in fall 2005.
