The Georgetown Metro Connection’s Foggy Bottom route will be replaced by the DC Circulator starting on Monday. The switch will begin as a SIX month trial.
“Our main intention is to get better, more attractive and faster service,” said Juanita Crabb, a spokesperson for the Georgetown Business Improvement District, which operates the blue Metro Connection buses.
Erik Linden, a spokesman for the District Department of Transportation, said that the transition to a single brand will be effective because the Circulator, which costs one dollar, has grown in popularity since it was introduced by the Metro Transit Authority.
“People love to take it. The buses are well-lit, nice, efficient and environmentally friendly,” he said.
