In “Little reason given for new party rules,” (News, August 24), the Voice mischaracterized statements by Jon Gryskiewicz (COL ‘08). Gryskiewicz did not imply, as we paraphrased, that he would “fight for his right to party.” Instead, he was suggesting that students as a whole would find the policy unpopular. We regret the error.
In “Loan investigation reaches Georgetown,” (News, August 24), the Voice reported that the Department of Justice was responsible for regulating and policing federal higher education policy. In fact, it is the responsibility of the Department of Education, according to Michael Dannenberg, Director of Education Policy at the New America Foundation. We regret the error.
The Free Unclassified box of the Voice’s April 26, 2007 issue featured a sentence indicating that certain staff at Vital Vittles unofficially recorded details about purchasers of pregnancy tests. The management of the Corp denies that this has ever happened. This item was unsourced, and thus should not have been printed in our magazine. We retract that statement and apologize for printing it.
