There’s been little to cheer about this season for Georgetown football, but last Saturday’s new aerial attack might be something to get excited about in the coming weeks. A 21-point deficit at halftime was nothing new, but by the time senior receiver Brent Craft got his hands on his first touchdown reception of the season, Fordham had reason to sweat and Hoya fans had reason to hope.

“The pre-snap read looked like they were in man-to-man,” Craft said of the play. “I just tried to attack his leverage—I ran straight at him so he didn’t have time to turn his hips.”

For a moment, Craft appeared to have lost the ball in the sun, but around the three yard line he corralled the 26-yard Matt Bassuener pass for the third touchdown reception of the day.

“We were trying to change things up after the rough start this year,” he said of the offense. “I think we proved we can be successful, so hopefully we stick with it.”
