“GUSA and SAC Clash over Club Fund” (April 24) contained several inaccuracies.
The statement that Relay for Life had to work with Ailing Mothers and Fathers in order to get Student Activities Commission funding in 2006 was incorrectly attributed to Matt Stoller (COL ‘08). The comments were actually made by Zach Bluestone (SFS ‘09).
Eden Schiffmann (COL ‘08) did not say that the College Democrats’ Tent Party was an event that could receive funding from the new GUSA Club Fund, as he was not familiar with the event.
The Student Activities Commission does not have an “annual budget,” as was stated in the article. SAC allocates money to student groups weekly throughout the academic year.
The Voice sincerely regrets these errors.
