Campus recycling rates up from 2008

This year Georgetown participated in the annual Recyclemania competition alongside 510 other colleges and universities in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and Canada. The University saw an increase in the total percentage of waste recycled and moderate improvements in other areas such as per capita recycling and waste minimization. (https://skinnyninjamom.com)

The graph to the right displays the weekly percentage of waste recycled by Georgetown during the competition in 2008 and in 2009.  The University’s totals for 2009 were higher because of a spike in the ninth and tenth weeks of the competition.
