The Georgetown cross country program was successful at the Big East Championships this past Friday in Boston. Both the men’s and women’s team came away with second place finishes. The men’s team trailed only six points behind Providence’s 52 while the women’s team scored 68 points, second also to Providence’s 39.

A conference win eluded the Georgetown volleyball team for a sixth time as Saturday afternoon’s game proved to be a tough one for the Lady Hoyas. The Hoyas, ranked 14th in the Big East Conference, lost 3-2 against the University of South Florida, which is ranked seventh in the conference.

The Lady Hoyas (5-10) could not hold on to a dominating 2-0 lead against their rival Syracuse (4-15) at home on Sunday. The ladies endured a crushing 3-2 defeat as they ceded the last three games to Syracuse to fall to 0-3 in the Big East play while Syracuse improved to a 1-3 record.
