Cross-Country

All-Americans

Rod Koborsi, ‘05 – Koborsi’s tenth place finish at the NCAA Championships earned him All-American honors.

Nicole Lee, ‘05 – Lee’s 19th place finish at the NCAA Championships earned her All-American honors.

Football

All-Patriot League First Team

Michael Ononibaku, Defensive End, ‘06 – Ononibaku finished the season eighth in the country with both 10.5 sacks, as well as 18.5 tackles for a loss. His 64 tackles placed him third on the Hoyas this season. Additionally, Ononibaku had two interceptions this season, one of which was returned for a touchdown.

All-Patriot League Second Team

Maurice Banks, Safety, ‘06 – Banks finished the season third in the league with four interceptions, including one against Bucknell that was returned for a touchdown.

Alex Buzbee, Defensive End, ‘06 – Buzbee tied with Ononibaku for the team lead with 10.5 sacks on the season. His 12.5 tackles for a loss were good for fourth in the league, in addition to two forced fumbles on the season.

Women’s Soccer

All-Big East Second Team

Nicole DePalma, Midfielder, ‘05 – DePalma ended the season as the Hoyas’ leader in points on the strength of nine goals and four assists. She finishes her career second all-time in points and as Georgetown’s all-time assists leader.

All-Big East Third Team

Shara McNeil, Midfielder, ‘06 – McNeil garnered All-Big East honors for the third consecutive year. She finished the season as the Hoyas’ assist leader with seven in addition to four goals.

Men’s Soccer

Big East Offensive Player of the Year
All-Big East First Team

Ricky Schramm, Forward, ‘07 -After an impressive first-year, Schramm returned and picked up right where he left off, leading the Conference in both goals and points by tallying 13 goals and six assists. Schramm’s Offensive Player of the Year honor is only Georgetown’s second, with the last going to Eric Kvello in 1997.

All-Big East Second Team

Dan Gargan, Forward, ‘05 – As one of the team’s captains, Gargan led the Hoyas to a successful season with his combination of tenacious defense and playmaking ability. Despite injuries, the senior added four goals and seven assists.

Jeff Curtin, Defense, ‘06 – Curtin’s selection marks his third consecutive selection to the second team. Despite playing from the back, Curtin managed to find the back of the net five times this season. Most impressive, however, was Curtin’s work in leading the Hoyas to four shutouts this season.

CoSida Academic All-America All-District II Second Team

Paul Brandley, Midfielder, ‘05 – Brandley has been a key reserve for the Hoyas this season, playing both forward and defense. He is a double-major in Government and Economics and maintains a 3.643 GPA. He was a first-team selection last year

Sara Albert, ‘05 – For the fourth consecutive year, Albert has earned All-Big East honors. She will graduate in May with a degree in Psychology.
