After last Sunday’s loss against Notre Dame—which snapped a five game home win streak—head coach Arlisa Williams’ squad is looking for redemption on Friday evening against West Virginia.
“We’ve got to find our ball control,” Williams said. “If we’re missing the passing component and defensive component it’s going to be a really long match for us.”
Junior outside hitter Jessica Hardy leads the Hoyas’ offense with 150 attacks. Freshman outside hitter Sara Manley has emerged this season as another key offensive player. Manley is not far behind Hardy, with 143 attacks.
“Sara Manley is playing well and is doing a really nice job,” Williams said. “There is a lot of weight on her shoulders as a freshman to go out and perform day in and day out and she’s doing it.”
Manley and the rest of the team will square off against the Mountaineers this Friday in Morgantown at 7 p.m.
