British indie/alt rock band Foals has an impressive resume. Having released four studio album and over 18 singles, the group doesn’t show any signs of stopping. Popular for their songs such as “My Number” and “Mountain at My Gates,” Foals is known for an unforgettable, lively stage presence. Having completed a European tour earlier this year, the band has kicked off a series of concerts in the United States, coming to Echostage, DC’s largest concert venue, on Thursday, Nov. 3.
Having formed in Oxford, England in 2005, the band’s style emphasizes intricate technical quality, bring a unique, electronic spin to their indie genre. Lead singer Yannis Philippakis and drummer Jack Bevan were friends growing up, and played music together long before the band had formed.
Foals is introspective, and emotionally evocative while still generating music that suits a positive, dance-friendly vibe at a venue of any size. Bands Kiev and Bear Hands will open for Foals this Thursday, and doors to Echostage will open at 7:00pm.
