For the last decade, All Things Go has been the DMV’s secret tunnel to the biggest names in pop music and provided the first scoop on pop and indie’s up and coming stars. This year, the festival is returning on Friday, Sept. 25 to give Washington, D.C. a weekend full of live music.
All Things Go began in Union Market, a warehouse-turned-food-hall in Northeast D.C., then slowly moved its way to The Yards Park in Navy Yard, finally settling in Maryland’s Merriweather Post Pavilion, one of the most famous amphitheaters in the country.
Past headliners include Lana Del Rey, Doechii, Clairo, Noah Kahan, Lorde, Charli XCX, and Billie Eilish, who headlined the festival in 2018 before her viral debut album came out, and the festival has since expanded to New York City and Toronto. While the festival has expanded its scope over the past few years, the focus remains in D.C. This year, acclaimed artists Mitski, Ethel Cain, Hayley Williams, MUNA, Zara Larsson, Brandi Carlile, and Lola Young are headlining the festival, with additional support from Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Slayyyter, Magdalena Bay, Ninajirachi, underscores, Rico Nasty, and Stella Lefty.
The lineup consists of mostly women and queer artists, a continuation of their foundational goal since 2018 to be a safe space for women and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and to create dialogues about feminism, gender inequality, and queer activism through their festival. All Things Go provides a safe space for all concertgoers both mentally and physically, as they have a plethora of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free food options, free parking, bathrooms, and water filling stations.
Doors open at 3:00 PM on Friday and 11:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday, further details about the festival can be found here.
