Frozen fish sticks or foie gras? Keg stands or vin chaud? This month the choice is yours. If you missed October’s French Film Festival because you were watching Borat previews on YouTube, the chance to redeem yourself has arrived. The French Embassy will be showing three films this month, beginning with A la petite semaine (Nickel and Dime) on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. On Thursday, Dec. 14, there will be a double feature beginning at 6:30 p.m. of Les Bronzés (French Fried Vacation) and Le Pere Noël est une ordure ( Santa Claus is a Louse). French “vin chaud” (mulled wine) will be served at the cash bar between films.
All films are in French with English subtitles. Student tickets are five dollars for one film, eight dollars for the double feature. Reservations are required and can be made by emailing washington-amba@diplomatie.gouv.fr. La Maison Française is located at 4101 Reservoir Road N.W.
